Manchester Met MBA launches hearing from prestigious alumni

The newly designed Manchester Met MBA programme kicked off their recruitment cycle with a Launch Event on Saturday 23 March at the Edwardian Hotel.

Prospective applicants and alumni were treated to an overview of the recent achievements of the business school from our Dean, Professor Hannah Holmes and an outline of the newly developed programme from Dr Anastasia Kynighou.

There was an insightful talk from alumnus Simon Rutter who spoke about digital leadership based on his experience working in consulting and for PlayStation. We also heard an inspirational talk from alumna, Adele Every on human leadership and managing high performing teams. Both subjects are at the core of the MBA programme.

We finished the evening with our engaging alumni panel. Sue Betts, Hannah Lowry and Javier Lorido Villalba kindly shared their experience of how an MBA at Manchester Met built their confidence and equipped them with the skills needed to progress their career journeys.

It was an insightful, energetic, and informative evening. We want to thank everyone who attended. We enjoyed meeting and reminiscing with our alumni during the networking session.

We’re proud of our new Manchester Met MBA and cannot wait to welcome our new students in September. We will be participating in the forthcoming postgraduate open day on 1 May if you’d like to find out more about the programme.

Our recruitment team are always on hand to meet with prospective candidates; please reach out to them at mbaenquiries@mmu.ac.uk if you’d like to learn more about the programme or the application process.

We are looking for alumni who are willing to share their stories, if you would like to be profiled as part of our marketing campaign, please email the recruitment team and we’ll arrange a time to capture your MBA story.
