The University has obligations to seek out Value for Money from its suppliers. Whilst volume purchasing can help reduce costs, we are committed to encouraging SMEs and local businesses to tender for contracts.
We aim to offer support and training on the tender processes aimed at encouraging SMEs and local suppliers to tender for work. We use an online tool from In-Tend to publish and manage tender opportunities for a wide range of works, goods and services.
On registration, the In-tend system will ask your company to choose specific types of contracts that are relevant to your business type. Once this information has been provided and your registration is complete, your company will;
- Receive alerts about new tender opportunities for the categories you have selected.
- Provide the opportunity to view and respond to tenders we publish.
- Submit messages to the Procurement Team.
- Manage your company details.
