Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing and Mathematics and Pathway Lead for the Data Analyst path of the Digital Technology Specialist Degree Apprentice programme. My teaching and research specialisms are databases and data science. For many years I was the unit leader for our successful Level 5 Database Systems unit and am now bringing this expertise to the new Level 4 Databases unit. One area of my research is about how to teach databases and SQL more effectively to a range of students. I have developed an automated assessment tool that forms parts of this research and which is used across a number of our units.
