Biography

Zhihua is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing and Mathematics and a member of the Centre for Mathematical Modelling and Flow Analysis (CMMFA) at the Manchester Metropolitan University. He received his BSc in Aerospace Engineering (2003) and PhD in Fluid Mechanics (2008) from Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, China. 

His research interests are in the development of novel numerical methods for computational aerodynamics and wave hydrodynamics. He has over 30 publications in peer-reviewed international leading journals including Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Physics of Fluids, Proceedings of the Royal Society A, Journal of Computational Physics, Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, Computers and Fluids, Ocean Engineering, Applied Ocean Research; and a number of articles in refereed international conference proceedings. He is a reviewer for several international leading academic journals and conferences and a member of several academic societies. He is also a grant reviewer for the Royal Society and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), UK.
