How to find us

We’re located within the All Saints Library (formerly known as the Sir Kenneth Green Library) which is part of Manchester Metropolitan University. The Library is situated on Oxford Road, facing All Saints Park.

Access to the Special Collections Museum is step free. There are revolving glass doors at the front of the Library and an accessible door on the right hand side of the entrance (ring the bell and a member of staff will open the door). The Museum is located on the third floor of the Library and can be reached via a large passenger lift or stairs.

Travelling to the Museum

There are limited on-road parking and multi-storey car parking facilities around the Manchester campus. Where possible, we encourage the use of public transport to travel to the campus. Oxford Road railway station is approximately five minutes’ walk away and many buses stop on Oxford Road. For information about travelling by foot, bicycle, public transport or car, visit the university’s travel pages.

Facilities and Accessibility

There are toilets, including an accessible toilet, on the third floor, near to the entrance to the Museum. There is level ground and step-free access throughout the Museum (the Gallery, the Reading Room and the Teaching Space). Lighting levels are kept low within the Gallery. Ask a member of staff if you would like the lights to be brighter during your visit. The nearest cafes can be found on the ground floor of the All Saints Building and the Business School.

If you have any access requirements, contact us before you visit to help us to make your visit to the museum as enjoyable as possible.
