Words of wisdom

Not one of mine, but from the late and great John Von Neumann

“If people do not believe that mathematics is simple, it is only because they do not realize how complicated life is.”

A couple from Ivan Sutherland who’s work on Micro-pipelines inspired me during my PhD studies

“A display connected to a digital computer gives us a chance to gain familiarity with concepts not realizable in the physical world. It is a looking glass into a mathematical wonderland”

“It’s not the school, the curriculum, or the teacher, but motivation that is the single most important ingredient in learning.”
