Biography

My name is Erose Sthapit. I am a Senior Lecturer in Tourism, MRT Department, Manchester Metropolitan University. I moved to Manchester in December 2021 from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland. I successfully completed by PhD in Marketing (focusing on Consumer Behaviour in Tourism) in 2018 from University of Vaasa (2014-2018). I have completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degree from Finland and is linked to tourism.

Interests and expertise

I have a passion for teaching. I find it rewarding when interacting with students and co-creating the learning experience. Positive feedback is extremely motivating and I consider it to be precious.

Teaching

I currently teach mainly tourism units in level 5 and 6 - Tourism Destination Fieldwork and International Tourism Destinations including marketing unit(s). 

I am supervising undergraduate and post-graduate students as well as accepting PhD students for supervision.
