Biography

Dr Sayyed Haybatollahi is a senior lecturer in Business and Organisational Psychology, and the BA Business Psychology programme director. He leads a range of units including Research Methods and Analysis, Social Psychology, and Psychology in Practice. Prior to joining MMU, He worked at the University of Nottingham for three years delivering a range of units for BSC and MSC psychology programmes. He also was the interim director of MSc Psychology via distance learning at the University of Nottingham. He is a chartered health and occupational psychologist (CPsychol), a Docent (Adj. Prof.) in quantitative methods at the University of Helsinki, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

His research encompasses creative pathways to both disciplinary (organisational studies) and interdisciplinary (health) topics applying advanced analytical methods such as latent class growth modelling and the new developments in Bayesian statistics. He applies modelling techniques to study the impacts of personal and organisational resources to manage occupational-induced issues like workload, stress, burnout, turnover intention, perceived organisational safety, organisational citizenship behaviours, and organisational justice.
