My profile

Biography

I have a background in social science and am a qualitative health researcher with over fifteen years’ experience, having conducted research largely with marginalised populations including people with dementia, people with severe mental illness and people who have lived in prison.

My current research within the ADMISSION research collaborative aims to improve understanding of the hospital care experiences of people who live with more than one long-term health condition (referred to as multiple long-term conditions or multimorbidity).

Projects

I work within ADMISSION, a UKRI-NIHR funded research collaborative which aims to transform understanding of multiple long-term conditions (at least two long-term health conditions) in hospital patients.

Teaching

Supervision

I supervise a Dunhill Medical Trust /Newcastle University PhD student on her study ‘Unravelling the complexity of inequalities in hospital care for people living with multiple long-term conditions’.
