Biography

I have been working at Manchester Metropolitan University
Business School since 2017. Prior to this, I worked at Hull University
Business School from 2004 to 2016. I also have experience of working at Leeds University Business School and Greenwich Business School.

I have held many different positions in my academic career. These include the
positions of Faculty Lead for Peer Assisted Learning, Education Lead, Subject Group Lead, Faculty Accreditation Lead, Programme Director of the PG Certificate of Teaching, Learning and
Assessment in Higher Education programme; Programme Leader of the various
Management / Business Management programmes, Module/Unit Leader; Personal Academic
Tutor, Dissertation and PhD Supervisor. I have also worked as Research Platform Leader for Work in Small Enterprises.

My current role: I am the Department Lead of Education which entails shaping
the Education Strategy of the Department to help achieve the education key
performance indicators of the Faculty of Business and Law. I am also the
Faculty Accreditation Lead for international accreditations (including EQUIS
and AACSB) in the Faculty of Business and Law. 

Prizes and awards

Fellowship of the Northern Leadership Academy (Research) – Awarded by The Northern Leadership Academy [In recognition of my high quality doctoral research in Leadership in the National Health Service.]

Overall Outstanding Lecturer Award – Awarded the Best Lecturer Award across all departments -  Student-Led Teaching Awards.

University Teaching Fellowship Award for Excellence in Learning and Teaching – Awarded by the Pro Vice Chancellor of The University of Hull [In recognition of my excellent and outstanding contribution to research led, student centred and innovative learning, teaching and assessment.]
