Biography

Reece is a Senior Lecturer of Industrial Relations and the International Lead for the People and Performance department. Following a master’s Degree in HRM and doctorate in the field of Work and Employment Relations, Reece leads and delivers across a number of undergraduate and postgraduate units on degree programmes such as the BA (Combined Honours) Business Management and HRM, and CIPD-accredited MSc HRM. As a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the CIPD, Reece contributes to some of the excellent research-led teaching offered by People and Performance.

His research has focused principally on the intersection of class and gender in the context of redundancy, and Reece has been fortunate to present such work across the United States, Europe, and Australia. Currently, he is undertaking a funded research project exploring alternative modes of work and society to neoliberal capitalism, with a particular focus on the Brazilian Landless Workers’ Movement. As International Lead, Reece is a key contributor to the departments decolonisation and internationalisation efforts, building sustainable partnerships with overseas institutions and a more inclusive curriculum.
