You are guaranteed a room in University sourced accommodation if you meet our eligibility criteria, have made Manchester Met your Firm choice and have completed your booking and paid the rental pre-payment by our deadline of 15th June.*

Student eligibility for our accommodation guarantee is as outlined in the table below:

Our guarantee is to provide accommodation for a single student only.  The accommodation we source is not suitable for, and our guarantee does not extend to, providing accommodation for any family member of the student.  Beyond the advice published on [this page] we are unable to provide additional support for International Students looking for family accommodation.  The rental market for family accommodation in Manchester is severely restricted.
If you do not complete your booking by signing the Terms & Conditions of Residence and / or making the pre-payment in the allotted time and / or cancel your completed booking. Then we reserve the right to consider our obligations under this guarantee met. Although you will have the option to rebook a room from what is available at the time, you will no longer be guaranteed a room. The university will reasonably assist with this by sending reminders to complete your booking and advertising the timeframe in which bookings need to be completed.
The accommodation sourced to fulfil this guarantee is not limited to that accommodation advertised on our website.  To meet demand, additional accommodation not so advertised may be sourced by us.  Whilst every effort will be made to secure additional accommodation in Manchester, currently there is a shortage of supply of student accommodation in Manchester, and suitable accommodation may be sourced outside of Manchester to satisfy this guarantee.

Non-guaranteed accommodation

If your application falls outside the conditions of our accommodation guarantee you are still welcome to apply but you will not be guaranteed accommodation.
