My time on the degree apprenticeship has taken a young, inexperienced and nervous individual and transformed me into a well organised, technical and confident engineer who is ready to step into an engineering role and deliver high quality work.

Since embarking on my degree apprenticeship, I have been appointed as Industry 4.0 lead resulting in a promotion to a higher grade.

I've used my learning from the course, made recommendations to my employer, and then seen the change happening on the ground within the organisation. It’s very gratifying.

It's been a brilliant journey and I've certainly dramatically improved my soft skills. I’ve learned that it's about making sure that no matter what you're trying to achieve, you take all your relevant stakeholders and colleagues with you on the journey.
