Using this guide

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our on-campus Open Day. 

The schedule below is for the 25 November event. 

This guide is intended to help you plan your schedule for the day. Scroll down or use the navigation buttons above to see the full schedule of talks taking place. When you have an idea of what you’d like to attend, use the button at the bottom of this page to move on and build your personalised schedule.

Some talks are repeated at different times and locations. Where you see multiple times for a talk, you only need to pick one to attend.

Please note some subject talks can be very busy and there is a small chance that busy talks will not be able to accommodate everyone who wants to attend. The personalised schedule you make here will not guarantee you entry into your chosen talks so please try to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Use our campus map to help you find your way around campus. You can also pick up a campus map and event guide on the day, which will include the same session listings you see in this guide.

Accommodation and campus tours depart at regular intervals throughout the day and are not booked in advance or listed in this guide. For information about how tours operate at the Open Day, please visit the Open Day Information Hub.

Arrival and Welcome Talks

When you arrive, check in at one of the registration points at the Business School or Brooks building. Take a look at the location of your first activity or talk to find your nearest registration point.

Attending a Welcome Talk is a good way to start your open day. You will get an introduction to the University and information on how to make the most of the event.

Learn about Student Life

Whether you want to find out more about student finance, accommodation, or sport, there is a wide range of talks to attend, all delivered by expert staff from across the University.

These talks take place in the Geoffrey Manton building, apart from the Accommodation talk which takes place in the All Saints building. 

Subject Talks and Activities

Find out all you need to know about your chosen subject of study through a wide range of talks, workshops, tours and discussions. Just scroll to the relevant section of this guide for information on your subject of interest.

If you have any questions or cannot attend your subject talk, head to your subject stand where you can chat with our course tutors directly. Subject stands will be open for the whole event. 

Go to the Business School for Business and Law courses, the Benzie building for the Manchester School of Art courses, the Grosvenor East building for Acting and Drama and Humanities courses, the John Dalton building for Science and Engineering, the Righton building for Fashion courses, the SODA building for the School of Digital Arts or the Brooks building for Health and Education courses.
