Student support

Our student hubs are dedicated advice centres. They are for students at all study levels to go for support on every aspect of student life.

As a student, you’ll have lots to manage in your day to day life. As well as your studies, you might be exploring a brand new city, searching for work placements, or dealing with the admin that comes with moving away from home.

It’s important that you know what services will be available to help you take control of your wellbeing and get support with any questions you may have.

It's a really supportive university and you learn that straight away. There are student hubs situated across campus, so if you have any problems you know where you can go.

Student hub services

When you study at Manchester Met, you can approach a hub for any student matter you need help with. You might want to check the timetable for your next term, ask for tips on how best to budget your student loan, or find paid job opportunities on campus.

You’ll be able to:

  • explore our health and wellbeing services
  • ask about student finance
  • check your study timetable
  • get careers advice
  • find out more about work placements
  • look for paid work on-campus
  • view study abroad and exchange opportunities

We’re able to advise on all student matters and will refer you to specialist support if you need it.

Specialist support

In addition to our student hubs, we have specialist staff who run drop-in services and telephone appointments for a range of services.

They provide:

  • careers advice and application drop-ins
  • numeracy support
  • disability support
  • support on international student progression
  • information on study abroad options
