Remote Boost Receiver

Works alongside LeoStream as a secure way of remotely connecting to an on-campus Windows or Linux device, letting you use the applications available on that device.

Please note that only some courses are eligible to use LeoStream and Remote Boost Receiver.

Requirements

Hardware: The software is designed to work on computers with minimal hardware requirements.

Operating System:

• Mac:
  • macOS 10.14 or newer
• Linux:
  • RHEL 7 or 8 or newer
  • UBUNTU 18.04 or 20.04 LTS
  • HP ThinPro 7.2 operating system

Instructions

1. Click the Download software button or go to: Leostream: Install client before first use (personal computer)
2. If this link prompts you to log in, enter your username in this format, and your normal MMU password:
   • Staff: MMUID@ad.mmu.ac.uk, eg. 12345678@ad.mmu.ac.uk
   • Students: MMUID@stu.mmu.ac.uk, eg. 12345678@stu.mmu.ac.uk
3. Follow the instructions in the article to download the client
