Quiet Accommodation - Warde

Warde contains 15 contemporary 12 bedroom townhouses.

Each has its own modern kitchen as well as spacious social spaces and high-speed internet. Insurance and all utilities are included in the rent.

The study bedrooms are fully furnished. 

Birley is part of the Brooks campus, which is covered by CCTV and patrolled by university security for extra peace of mind.   

Applicants who have selected quiet accommodation do so in the knowledge that they will be required to show extra consideration to their flatmates and neighbours in keeping noise to a minimum, wherever possible. We aim to allocate students together who consider themselves to have a ‘quieter lifestyle’. Please note however, that we can’t always guarantee a permanently quiet environment.

Students who commit to living in quiet accommodation will ensure that their lifestyle choices do not impact upon their student or community neighbours.

This means –

• no loud noise at any time but in particular after 11pm and before 8am, including but not limited to televisions, playing music or musical instruments, talking loudly on the phone or playing video games
• no large social gatherings
•  no use of decks or amplifiers
•  using headphones to reduce disturbance to others especially after 11pm and before 8am
•  leaving and entering the building quietly, no shouting or banging doors
•  being mindful that your lifestyle is not negatively impacting on others which may disturb their study, sleep or comfort
•  complying with the guest policy, just 1 overnight guest at a time.
