Teaching

Supervision

To date I have supervised over 100 postgraduate taught students’ dissertations. I have supervised a wide range of dissertations in the area of accounting and finance. 

I have extensive experience in supporting students undertaking projects that investigate representation on executive boards and the link with corporate performance, financial literacy/education and value creation/purpose led responsible business decision making.

Research outputs

My research interests are wide and varied. They are largely linked to student access, participation and success in (accounting) education. They include; race in education, accounting education & pedagogy, student transition from higher education to the graduate labour market, professional identity formation and development, skills development and articulation, work-readiness, racialised student and staff experiences and gender representation of executive directors and the relationship with corporate performance.
