My profile

Biography

I am an ICAEW qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA), originally training with KPMG in Manchester.  Whilst with KPMG I worked in audit, corporate finance and had a short secondment to Australia.

I then moved to industry, working in FTSE100 companies in the the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors, demonstrating the transferability of skills gained with a finance qualification.

I began teaching at MMU in 2019.

Interests and expertise

As a result of my roles in industry I have developed a keen interest in management accounting and use my experience to illustrate how the theory we teach is applied in the ‘real world’.

I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2022.
