Lucy Sekers

I am a Licensed Accountant with the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and I began teaching at MMU in 2020 just as lockdown began.

I have worked in practice, run my own businesses and taught in education and I currently own a small accounting practice, specialising in empowering business owners through education and the power of accountancy. I am a cloud accounting Xero expert.

I like to bring my experience into my teaching, using real life to illustrate concepts and theory. I aim to encourage critical thinking and an enquiring mind. I also embrace the use technology both within my work and my teaching practices.
