Biography

Prior to joining academia, Rosane built her graduate career as an Information Systems Analyst and Developer at Medium / Large international companies. Rosane’s extensive experience in industry was then followed by a career in academia, initially carrying out externally funded research in the field of Informatics and Education at the University of Leuven. Subsequently Rosane joined Manchester Metropolitan University Business School as a Lecturer in Business Information Technology.

Alongside undergraduate and post graduate teaching, Rosane has taken up various coordination and quality assurance roles in programme management and development, internally and externally. Rosane has held four successful Fellowships in Academic Practice, each entailing research and development activities on a learning and teaching project. Rosane holds a BSc (Hons) Electrical Engineering, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Doctorate in Applied Sciences.

Other academic service

To provide academic leadership of taught postgraduate management and business programmes to effectively manage the ongoing development of management and business programmes.
To develop, support and maintain successful partnerships with external agencies professional establishments and professional bodies and promote MMU for the Human Resource Management Programme suite.
To teach on undergraduate and taught postgraduate management and business programmes contributing to the management and ongoing development of these programmes. Undertake research and scholarly activity in the field.
