Biography

I am a lecturer in Business information systems in the Operations, Technology, Events and Hospitality Management (OTEHM) department.

My studies, research and work experience at the university have fuelled my passion for teaching and motivated me to pursue a career as a lecturer in higher education. My job enables me to fulfil my ambitions to deliver high-quality, enriching learning experiences to my students and contribute to the department’s progression and the higher education sector.

Interests and expertise

I am passionate about learning, research and teaching. I have completed my PhD at Machester Metropolitan University, exploring the impacts of big data on organisational design and decision-making processes. This study examined how organisations interpret big data, utilise dynamic capabilities and inform, alter and ultimately improve decision-making processes in corporate environments.

My areas of interest include: Business Information Systems, Strategic management, Dynamic decision-making, Dynamic Capabilities, Big Data, Organisational Design, Ethics and Sustainability
