Biography

Neville is a Lecturer in Operations and Project Management with over 35 years’ experience as an Operations and Supply Chain professional within the Manufacturing Industry.

Having worked across a range of sectors including Automotive, Electronics, Fire & Security and Domestic Appliance, knowledge and skills include a broad understanding of manufacturing processes, application of Lean Philosophies and management of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) systems. Performing in senior management roles, experience includes devising and deploying Business Strategy, implementation of Major Business Change (including organisational restructure, business transfer, and introduction of new products, processes and methodologies) and management of global supply chain systems.

With a role based on the Education, Pedagogy and Citizenship pathway, Neville’s primary focus is on using his industrial experience to add value and context to the delivery of teaching programmes so that academic theory and business practice are mutually underpinned, facilitating enriched learning for the students. Alongside this, active involvement in Knowledge Transfer Programmes enables continued engagement with industry to develop mutually beneficial partnerships aimed at implementing the latest thinking into practice and education.
