If you have not met the entry requirements for your degree course, you can study one of our pre-sessional courses, instead of taking another IELTS exam.

Your current IELTS level will determine the length of course you need to attend.

** The PG entry level is for academic courses requiring 6.5 overall, with no skill less than 5.5, but can be adjusted for progression to academic courses with a higher IELTS requirement. For example, for a course requiring IELTS 6.0 in any individual skill, the pre-sessional entry requirement for that skill is IELTS 0.5 higher than shown above.

The minimum enrolment age is 18.
The maximum class size is 18 (face-to-face) and 14 (online).

A social and leisure programme is offered for students. Excursions to local attractions outside the City such as the Lake District, Blackpool and Cheshire Oaks cost approximately £20 - 40 per student. In addition, we encourage you to get involved in the events and activities organised by the Manchester International Society.
