Research Excellence Framework (2021)

We were rated in the top 20 in the UK for the quality of our research in the last REF exercise. Across multiple disciplines, our researchers are challenging traditional methods of conducting research and leading international debates on the future of education.

As a postgraduate researcher at Manchester Met, you will be joining a community of established and emerging researchers working across a broad range of social science topics. As a member of our community, you will have access to a mixture of seminars and reading groups each week, to help you make connections and develop your knowledge and skills.

We’re experts in the student research journey, ready to offer advice, guidance and resources to help you complete your research successfully.
