Manchester Met's Student Support Package
How we can help you fund your studies
This package is only available to returning students who began their degree with us prior to the academic year 2025/26.
Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible if you are:
- A current UK undergraduate or repeating foundation year student, with a student support number from Student Finance.
- From a household with an income of up to and including £25,000, paying the full rate of tuition fees.
If you are studying a part-time course and otherwise eligible, the amount you receive will depend on the intensity of your course. For example, if your course is equivalent to half of a full-time course, you will receive half of the standard amount (£750). Please note that repeating individual credits or modules does not make you eligible as a part-time student for this funding.
How is it paid
You will receive a cash payment directly to your bank account. We will email you during the first few weeks of term to confirm your eligibility for the Student Support Package and request your bank details. Even if you have submitted your bank details in previous years, you will need to provide them again for the new academic year.
Payment Dates
You will receive your allocation in two equal instalments on or around the following dates:
- 24 October 2025
- 23 January 2026

The £750 student support package has been so helpful for me. It has allowed me to pay for lots of useful things such as my bus pass, laptop, printer and my gym and swim membership.
