You play a crucial role in supporting your apprentice’s learning and identifying opportunities for the development of their digital and technology skills. We are keen for you to play an active role in the apprenticeship. Please bookmark this page as it is regularly updated.

Apprenticeship standard and assessment plan 

The apprenticeship standard provides the building blocks of our Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship. It is the blueprint for the development of our apprentices across the duration of the course. The standard will be used regularly during reviews as a point of reference, and we recommend that you familiarise yourself with its contents.

Hardware and software requirements

All Digital and Technology Solutions degree apprentices require their own laptop for the duration of the programme. They will need to have sufficient access rights in order to download software packages vital for their learning on the course. 

Minimum recommended laptop specifications are: 

  • Processor | Intel i/m 5 or AMD Ryzen 5  

  • Ram | 8Gb  - 16Gb

  • Hard Disk | 240Gb SSD 

  • Operating System | Either: Windows 10, MacOS, Linux (All 64Bit) 

  • IO | 3 USB ports, 1 HDMI, 1 Optical mouse 

  • Graphics processor | Integrated graphics card 

  • Networking | Wi-Fi 

End-point assessment (EPA) guidance  

The EPA is an integral component of the course. The degree will be achieved upon successful completion of this assessment. 

The EPA is designed in collaboration with employers and applies to all organisations delivering this apprenticeship. Line managers or mentors will be invited to an EPA briefing session at the appropriate point in the apprentice’s course.
