    The Salzburg University of Education Stefan Zweig specialises in professional training, education and research for teachers at all levels. 

    Training is provided to around 10,000 teachers every year, including those already teaching and seeking professional development.

    Training schools are attached to the university to give students the chance to put theoretical know-how into teaching practice. A wide range of courses and seminars are offered, including classroom activities.

    The University of Graz was founded in 1585 and is Austria’s second oldest university.

    With 31,000 students, six faculties, 120 study courses and 76 specialist institutes, it’s also one of the largest universities in the country.

    The university is well linked to its host city - and the location of Graz has helped shaped the institution’s outlook, benefitting as it does from a lively scientific, economic and cultural exchange with south east Europe.

    Six Nobel laureates have taught and researched at the University of Graz.
