UCAS

If you are looking to study at university this September, you don’t need to wait until UCAS Clearing. There is still time to apply and secure a place on your ideal course.

Depending on your situation, you can still apply to study at Manchester Met, either as a new applicant, or through UCAS Extra or UCAS Clearing.

There are many reasons for applying after the initial UCAS deadline. You might have only recently decided to apply to university for the first time, changed your mind about where you want to study, or the course you want to do.

  • Apply from 31 January to 30 June

If you have not already, you can still apply to us via UCAS to start a course in September 2024.

UCAS is open for applications until 30 June 2024. You can apply for up to five different courses at the same time.

Check the UCAS website to see what courses are still open to study at Manchester Metropolitan University.

  • UCAS Extra is open from 28 February to 4 July

From 28 February to 4 July 2024, UCAS Extra is open to anyone who applied earlier in the cycle, but is not holding any offers or has declined all their offers.

Go to the UCAS website and search Extra vacancies to apply for one new course.

If you are applying for a completely different subject, for most courses, you can submit a new personal statement to the university you are applying to.

If the university needs longer to make a decision, you will have the option to wait for that decision or to withdraw your application and replace it with another university.

  • Clearing from 5 July to 21 September

Clearing is open from 5 July to 21 September 2024. You can apply for a new course using Clearing, if you are not already holding an offer (unplaced). You can also apply direct to Clearing, if you have not applied to UCAS yet. Check UCAS course search to see what courses are available in clearing.

In order to receive a Clearing course offer you need to already have all your results of your qualifications, as universities can only make unconditional offers in the Clearing period.
