We’re putting hydrogen fuel cell power at the heart of policy development in Greater Manchester, the wider region and beyond to help make cities, infrastructure and business more sustainable and powered by clean energy.

We’re bringing together businesses, policy makers and communities to develop research-informed initiatives and policies.

Through this collaboration, we have developed the Greater Manchester Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Strategy, which is helping shape the green energy landscape of the region’s future.

We are work with the Northern Powerhouse Partnership, so that hydrogen and fuel cells play a key role in new policy ideas to improve quality of life, economic growth and sustainable development in the North of England.

Further policy and project development support comes also via Greater Manchester Hydrogen Partnership, led by Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Centre, which focuses on deployment scenarios for the region with many industrial partners.
