Accessible library spaces

Some of our PCs and desks have priority access for wheelchair users because they’re on adjustable desks or are in wider aisles, but otherwise we aim for inclusive access. If you have particular requirements, please contact us to discuss them.

We have 13 accessible workstations with electric height adjustable desks. You can easily find these by looking for the blue triangle flag as well as the signs on the desk indicating they are height-adjustable.

All have either standard or high-contrast, large font keyboards (white/black or yellow/black) and either standard or ergonomic mice.

You can find these accessible workstations in these locations:

Ground floor, West Wing (Quiet Zone)
1 PC - located behind the column opposite the door into the wing

First floor, East Wing (Quiet Zone)
3 PCs and 1 iMac - all located to the left of the entrance to the wing

First floor, IT Zone (Quiet Zone)
2 PCs - each desk is located at the end of a bank of PCs, with one at each end of the IT Zone

Second floor, East Wing (Silent Zone)
2 PCs - located opposite the entrance to the wing

Fourth floor (Silent Zone)
2 adjustable desks only - located in the middle section of the wing, behind the glass partition, one at either end of the room

Fifth floor, IT Zone (Quiet Zone)
1 PC and 1 iMac - located in the top left corner of the wing, overlooking the lower area of the floor
