What you can find on campus

The University has a varied range of food and drink outlets across campus, ranging from a small pop-up trailer serving barista hot drinks, to a contemporary restaurant and bar cooking delicious brunch dishes and main meals.

We try to cater to all of our customers and have introduced a vast range of vegetarian, vegan and halal products into our outlets.

We understand that buying from local suppliers means that we can cut down our food miles whilst bringing our customers fresh food that tastes better and is more nutritious. We strive to achieve this wherever possible and ensure our suppliers have high standards in everything they do, from the food, service, hygiene, people and supply chains.

Take a look at our ethical coffee supplier

200 Degrees is our current coffee supplier and roasts our unique beans in their roast house in Nottingham. They call themselves 200 Degrees as they roast their coffee at this temperature which is slightly lower than normal to yield a smoother, deeper taste.

They were chosen as our sole supplier based on a number of factors besides taste, including their ethical and sustainability practices. Rather than just subscribing to a simple well-known buying group, such as Fairtrade, 200 Degrees buy from suppliers who build ethical direct trade routes with farmers, where all parts of the supply chain are transparent and cooperative. They believe this is the best way to ensure that the farmers get a fair payment for their beans. The beans sold in our outlets are Rainforest Alliance Certified.
