Play for fun
If you don’t fancy the commitment of joining a team, then come along to Active Campus Badminton where you can turn up and play for fun.
It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced player or have never played before, Active Campus is for everyone and all abilities. Our friendly student activators will be on hand to welcome you and guide you through the session.
Join a league
If you want to play badminton in a social but competitive environment then the Badminton Campus League is for you.
Play weekly fixtures on a Sunday at Sugden Sports Centre in a structured environment with qualified officials and compete against other university teams at Manchester Met.
Join the club
Manchester Met’s badminton club consist of two men’s and one women’s team who play in their respective BUCS leagues and also represent the university at the BUCS Nationals held in Sheffield in February. The club will hold a trial session within the first week of the academic year. Following a successful 2022/23 season the women’s team have been promoted to northern 2A.
BUCS level
Our teams compete in the following BUCS league:
- Men’s 1st – Northern 3A.
- Men’s 2nd – Northern 4A.
- Women’s – Northern 2A.
