Play for fun
If you don’t fancy the commitment of joining a team, then come along to Active Campus Football where you can turn up and play for fun.
It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced player or have never played before, Active Campus is for everyone and all abilities. Our friendly student activators will be on hand to welcome you and guide you through the session.
Join a league
Compete against friends, flatmates and course mates in our 5-a-side and 11-a-side football Campus Leagues. Play weekly fixtures at our Platt Lane Sports Complex and compete against other teams at Manchester Met.
Our Campus Leagues are a great way to play the sport you love in a social but competitive environment, with trophies and prizes at the end of the year for the winning team.
If you don’t have a team, please contact us and you will be assigned a team if and when spaces become available. You can register your interest via the link at the bottom of this page.
Fixtures will take place on a weekly basis between 5:00pm and 8:00pm.
Represent
Manchester Met Men’s Football is a student led club with four teams competing in the BUCS league, all of whom are pushing for promotion due to the fantastic facilities at Platt Lane and a high standard of coaching provision - at the 2023 Sports Awards Ball the men’s football first team won team of the year as well as their head coach winning coach of the year.
Regardless of whether you are successful in trials, MMU Sport offer a wider programme of football including coach education, campus leagues and active campus sessions.
